At our school, guidance is regarded as a central part of every student’s journey. We operate under a whole-school guidance plan, with a dedicated guidance team working together to ensure every student receives the support they need to thrive. Guidance is not a single service, but a continuous process that supports students across the three key areas: educational guidance, career guidance, and personal/social support.
In terms of educational guidance, we help students make informed subject choices, develop study and organisational skills, and reach their full academic potential. Career guidance is provided through one-to-one meetings, workshops, and organised trips to career fairs and higher education events, ensuring students are aware of the wide range of pathways available to them. We recognise that no single path suits everyone, and we are committed to helping each student find their own direction. On a personal level, we offer a safe and supportive space where students are listened to, and where counselling support and referrals are available if needed.
Our whole-school approach means guidance is woven into daily school life. From building presentation skills to developing resilience, from offering tailored workshops to creating opportunities for exploration, we take the whole student into account. Parents can be assured that guidance is not an add-on but a carefully structured and well-resourced part of the student experience, designed to nurture growth, confidence, and independence for life beyond school.
